The Port Master Plan covers the Port of Long Beach Harbor District. This area consists of nearly 2,700 acres of land and more than 4,500 acres of water. The Port Master Plan divides the Harbor District into 11 planning districts and identifies land and water uses permitted in each one. The purpose of the Port Master Plan is to provide a planning tool to guide future port development and to ensure that projects and developments in the Harbor District are consistent with the requirements of the California Coastal Act.
